Up for sale is a rare original 1972 Fender Stratocaster neck with maple fingerboard, bullet truss rod, and original Fender Stratocaster headstock decal.
This is a genuine early-’70s Fender Strat neck with a great vintage amber look and feel. The neck has a comfortable medium D-shape profile and is straight as an arrow. It plays great and would be an excellent neck for a vintage Strat restoration, ’70s Fender project, or period-correct build.
The neck is all original and retains its original frets, which still have lots of life left. There is one small piece of wood missing near the bullet truss rod area, clearly shown in the photos. The back of the headstock has six extra tuner screw holes from a previous set of Schaller tuners. Otherwise, it shows normal vintage wear, small marks, finish checking, scratches, and age consistent with a 50+ year old Fender neck.
The original decal is present and has a great vintage look. The neck includes the original-style bullet truss rod and heel hardware as pictured.
Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
