The Alesis Midiverb 4 is a 1U rackmount effects processor with 32 algorithms covering reverb, delay, chorus, flange, and pitch effects. It supports up to three simultaneous effects in many configurations and includes 128 factory presets plus 128 user slots. The unit features 18-bit A/D and D/A conversion with 24-bit internal processing for a 20 Hz to 20 kHz bandwidth and over 90 dB dynamic range. Auto Level Sensing sets input levels automatically, and MIDI allows real-time control of parameters plus program changes and SysEx dumps.

Two inputs and two outputs handle mono or stereo operation, with series or parallel routing depending on the selected configuration. A footswitch jack supports bypass or program advance. Editing uses a front-panel Value knob and buttons with a clear display for quick adjustments.
