Gibson 80's Tribute humbucker pickups are high-output, Alnico 5 pickups designed to emulate the aggressive, "hot" tone of 1980s hard rock and metal. Known for a percussive, "present" sound with balanced frequencies, they are described as punchy and fat, offering a brighter alternative to the 500T while retaining high gain.
Tone: The pickups provide a very "present" and percussive sound without being overly bright or abrasive. They are designed for high gain, making them ideal for heavy distortion.
Output: They are high-output, designed to push amplifiers into heavy, saturated overdrive.
Construction: These are uncovered, wax-potted humbuckers using Alnico 5 magnets.
Great sounding pickups but I swapped them out for EMG's for my personal preference.
