HH Scott Stereomaster LT-110 FM STEREO MULTIPEX TUBE TUNER
Serial Number: 184708
CONDITION: it is a pretty clean unit, we did not test it so it is being sold "AS IS", it looks to be comlete and this came from an Estate of a Electronic Tech so I am sure it is fine. There is some oxidation on the Chassis but looks like I said clean. The Faceplate looks real good.
The HH Scott Stereomaster LT-110 is a vintage, wideband, multiplex FM stereo tube tuner produced as a kit version of the factory-wired 350 Stereomaster. It was first introduced in 1961. Highly sought after by audiophiles, the LT-110 is valued for its superior sound quality, sensitivity, and stereo separation. Description and characteristicsThe LT-110 is a vacuum tube-based FM stereo tuner that was offered as a kit for DIY enthusiasts. Compared to the factory-built 350, some listeners have found the LT-110 to have a more engaging sound with a wider soundstage.
- Front panel features: The LT-110 includes a tuning meter, a mono/stereo selector combined with the power switch, a tuning knob, and a noise filter switch. Early versions had a brown faceplate, while later versions featured a gold faceplate.
- Unique technology: Like other Scott tuners of the era, the LT-110 uses the proprietary "Dynaural Suppression" system for improved reception. It also incorporates a "Sonic Monitor" light to indicate when a stereo broadcast is being received.
- Wideband design: The tuner's wideband circuitry and silver-plated front end contribute to its excellent sensitivity and reception capabilities.
Kit versions and variationsThe LT-110 evolved over its production run with several revisions.
- Early LT-110: The first model used a traditional 3-tube IF section with a 6AU6 limiter and had a front panel level control.
- Later LT-110: Revisions were upgraded with the same circuitry as the factory-built 350B. The front panel level control was replaced with the "Sonic Monitor" switch.
- Brown faceplate: The very first LT-110 kits featured a brown painted front panel.
- Gold faceplate: Later kits moved to a gold-anodized front panel, which is more similar to the appearance of factory-assembled Scott equipment.
- LT-110-B: The "B" version incorporates circuit updates and is typically more expensive on the vintage market
