3/ HQAUDIOS RESTORATION & TESTING

Before Restoration

Before restoration, this Marantz 2216B underwent a technical inspection covering the amplifier circuitry, power supply, preamplifier, AM/FM tuner, operating controls, audio connections and exterior components.

Age-related oxidation and residue were identified around controls and switches. Internal electronic components, electrical connections and wiring required examination to maintain reliable signal transmission and stable amplifier operation.

The illuminated tuning display, control knobs, silver faceplate and included WC-22 wood cabinet were also included in the cosmetic and functional assessment, with attention to preserving the receiver's original vintage appearance.

During Restoration

The restoration process focused on the receiver's stereo amplifier, power supply, signal path, analog controls, tuner operation and exterior presentation while preserving the classic Marantz 2216B design.
