This 2018 Epiphone SST Coupe is one of those guitars that makes a lot of sense once you actually pick it up. It has the feel of an acoustic-electric, but in a slimmer, more comfortable single-cut body that is much easier to handle than a full-size acoustic. It is lightweight, clean-looking, and very easy to grab when you want something acoustic-based without fighting a big body.
The Ebony finish gives it a sharp, understated look, especially with the white binding around the body. It has a sleek stage-ready appearance, and the thinner Coupe body makes it feel more modern and manageable than a traditional acoustic-electric.
Playability is the biggest thing that stood out to me. I just restrung it with brand new light Elixir strings, cleaned the body, and oiled the fretboard. The neck is straight, the action is reasonably low, and the frets are in excellent shape. It has a very comfortable feel overall and plays much easier than a lot of acoustic-style guitars in this price range.
The onboard electronics have been tested and are working properly, so this one is ready to plug in for live use, recording, church, coffeehouse gigs, or just playing at home through an amp or interface. It is a practical guitar for someone who wants plugged-in acoustic tones in a more compact and comfortable package.
Condition is very good overall. There are some scrapes on the side, scratches toward the bottom, and a scratch/chip area on the back of the headstock, all shown clearly in the photos. The top also shows light marks and normal signs of handling, but nothing that affects the playability. It has been gone through, cleaned up, restrung, and is ready to play.
No case is included with this one.
