Unbranded 8.5" Goblet Doumbek / Darbuka Hand Drum Shell – Textured Burgundy – Project / Parts Only

Up for sale is an unbranded goblet-style Doumbek (also known as a Darbuka) hand drum shell featuring a standard 8.5-inch top outer diameter playing edge. This lightweight drum features a distinct hourglass silhouette and is wrapped in a textured, dark burgundy and black faux-leather vinyl finish, giving it a striking, premium look.

This drum is being sold strictly as a project piece or for parts/repair. It currently has no drum head installed and will require a standard 8.5" replacement head, a matching counter-hoop/rim, and a tension bolt system to be made fully playable.

Cosmetic Condition: As viewed in the pictures; the main body shell of the drum is in good cosmetic condition. The faux-leather vinyl wrap remains tightly adhered, showing only minimal surface storage marks, faint handling scuffs, and zero peeling. The vertical wrap seam running down the side of the goblet is tight, flat, and flush against the body.

Functional Notes: This instrument is listed in Fair / For Parts Condition due to being completely headless. The upper bearing edge where the head rests is fully exposed, smooth, and structurally sound without cracks or splits, providing an excellent foundation for a clean rebuild. It does not include a drum head, counter-hoop rim, or hardware. This is an ideal, budget-friendly DIY project for a percussionist, builder, or student looking to customize a frame with a synthetic or raw animal hide head.
