I purchased this new from Kevin at EGC/TBD in 2021, who will sadly be retiring at the end of this year.
This guitar came stock with New Old Stock vintage 1970s Travis Bean Humbuckers. It is the thin body version with a mahogany body. This lends to a really nice midrange snarl akin to an SG with the Six Million Dollar Man treatment. It’s a super cool and beautiful, versatile sounding guitar.
This guitar is the best of both worlds — with modern craftsmanship and playability and vintage sound and tonal character that cannot be replicated any other way than with vintage electronics. The highly figured mother of Pearl block inlays on the chunky neck really set it off as well.
In excellent condition, with a handful of scratches and dings here and there, nothing major. Ships in hard case.
