Black Magic Vintage is pleased to offer a stunning 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard!

1958 is the first year of production of the "Sunburst" Les Paul which is incredibly significant and this example is exemplary. 1958's have the lowest production numbers of the 2 1/2 years of Bursts with approximately 250-300 examples being produced. 8 5490 maintains all of its rich cherry color on a subtle but figured maple top. It remains completely untouched less a perfectly executed refret within the last 12 months. It comes with some of its original hangtags and strap. A collector grade package to be sure but also an excellent sounding and playing guitar that can and should be enjoyed!

The neck is inviting and full measuring .91 @ 1st and .98 @ 12th. It has very soft shoulders and feels incredible in the hand. This 1958 Burst is powered by two factory sealed double black PAF's that measure 7.60 N and 8.05 B a perfect pairing that offers unparalleled clarity while still having plenty of bite. This Burst weighs a perfectly balanced and typical weight of 9 lbs 2 oz.
