The ZEQD Pre is very cool. Its especially great if you use pedals for your dirt sounds. It handled everything I threw at it with ease. I love the EF86 tube and the way it affects the sound. You can tell when the tube warms up. It has a cab sim in it for running to FOH or your DAW for late night quiet recording. It also has an output for your FRFR or amp AND a headphone output.

The pedal never left my house. I used it for a few months, but had a chance to pock up my favorite Friedman head. Now I need to pay the bills. The listing includes the pedal and the original box. This feature is handily disengaged via the Cab Bypass switch enabling you to send a pure signal to your preferred IR loader or modeling software and making it perfect for direct recording, backline-free gigs, or hybrid rigs with multiple signal paths.

Hit the Boost footswitch and the Three-Band EQ drops out completely, delivering a full-range boost with its own dedicated level control. Two distinct tones at your feet: sculpted EQ tone or wide-open boosted voice. Simple, immediate, and musical.

The ZEQD-Pre uses the EF86 pentode—the same tube that gives many Dr. Z amplifiers their pristine hi-fi tone and makes them such responsive pedal platforms. What does that mean for you?
