This is one of the first few Balanced Actions ever made! Produced in 1935 - the first year of production. This horn was relacquered during a previous overhaul in the 70s so it still does have that vintage characteristic lacquer look and plays very powerfully and sweetly. 21xxx
This horn recently got a full mechanical overhaul and plays better than it has in many many years. Metal resonators in the pads really make these old horns with lower factory key heights sing. Comes with the original neck that has been refitted snuggly in the neck tenon receiver. Comes with a like-new Protec Case.
I got this saxophone from it's original owner - a veteran New York Saxophonist. When I received it it was not in playable condition and had experienced some body trauma. All of which has been resolved now and this horn really does sing.
