Up for sale is an Artisan Strings Model 100 3/4-size cello, built in 2007 and distributed by the Geminhardt Company. This student-level instrument has been well cared for and remains in good playing condition, making it an excellent choice for advancing students, school programs, or players needing a quality fractional-size cello.
The cello features a traditional amber-brown finish with attractive flamed maple figuring visible on the back and ribs. It is fitted with an ebony-style fingerboard, composite tailpiece with integrated fine tuners, and comes strung and ready to play. Included with the sale is a padded gig bag for transport and storage.
Condition
This cello is in good used condition with normal signs of use throughout. Cosmetic wear includes scattered scratches, scuffs, and finish marks on the body, particularly along the ribs, edges, and back, as shown in the photos. The top, back, and sides appear structurally sound with no major cracks or repairs observed. The bridge, tuning pegs, tailpiece, and endpin are all present and functional.
The fingerboard shows typical playing wear and there are colorful position markers applied to the fingerboard, which may be helpful for beginning students.
