This is a complete Original Vintage 1961-1962 Fender SunBurst Duo-Sonic Guitar with its Original Fender Case (#549). This Vintage Original 1961-1962 Fender Duo-Sonic comes with its original Fender Bridge cover and Fender red maroon case. The guitar was well cared for with just the original finish and no touchups or overspray anywhere on the guitar. The neck is in excellent condition, with no play wear showing on the neck back finish, and with no divots showing on the frets or the dark rosewood clay dot fretboard. The neck back shows only a few finish marks from the neck brace in the case. Neck is date stamped 3/4 JUL 62 A on the butt of the neck, with a scale of 22-1/2" and 1-1/2" at the nut, with the original nut in excellent condition. The neck is straight and the trust rod is adjustable. The original Fender Duo-Sonic decal is excellent and the original Kluson Tuners easily move and hold properly. Neck Plate Serial # 67326. The original Stackpole control pots are both dated stamped 304-6237. The pickup reads 5.4k for the neck and 5.4k for the bridge, with the original wiring, tape wrap, Switchcraft pickup switch and pickguard shield. There are no breaks, cracks, shrinking or warping of the pickguard. The Original bridge and saddles are excellent and the chrome bridge cover, also in excellent condition is included. The guitar functions and plays great, and has that great Fender sound and tone with its pre-CBS black bottom pickups and tight build. The SunBurst finish is all original, with small scratches, scuffs, nicks and dings as shown in the photos, the majority from case storage handling and case movement. Guitar weight is 6lb.14oz. Comes with its original Fender Red Felt maroon case that is in very good condition, with all the spring latches working properly.
