Up for sale is a classic piece of American audio history: an original vintage Ken-Rad 5U4G full-wave rectifier tube, featuring the iconic ST "Coke Bottle" glass envelope. Proudly manufactured in Owensboro, Kentucky, during the golden era of US tube production.

Ken-Rad tubes are legendary among both vintage hi-fi audiophiles and guitar players for their incredibly rugged, military-grade internal construction. Featuring heavy-duty "hanging filament" supports and robust black plates, these 5U4Gs are highly sought after for providing that perfect, classic power supply compression ("sag") in vintage tube-rectified guitar amplifiers (like early Fender Tweeds) and antique audio gear.

This tube was sourced directly from a carefully stored private estate collection.

Physical Condition:

• Glass envelope is tight to the base with no cracks or structural play.
• Features robust, dark carbonized plates and straight internal support rods.
• The original top getter flashing is bright, highly reflective, and fully intact (no milky white air leakage).
• The center plastic octal guide pin and all metal base pins are clean and fully intact.

Testing & Shop Policy: Because this tube came directly out of a large collection and we do not currently have a calibrated mutual conductance tube tester on-site at the shop, it is being offered As-Is / Untested. Visually, the tube looks excellent, showing no signs of internal debris, heavy burn, or flashing degradation.
