PLEASE READ: this audio interface was my "bucket list" unit purchased for my home studio from Sweetwater in 2024. After deploying the MBox with my M2 Pro Mac Mini and my Logic Pro DAW in 2025, the USB connection proved to be intermittent. In pursuing support from Avid, I discovered that Avid audio interface hardware support was only offered to Pro Tools Studio licensees. I registered the free Pro Tools Studio Perpetual license (limited to 1-year of updates and support) that came with the MBox. But because I wasn't actually using Pro Tools with the MBox, Avid would not provide support (and basically blamed my computer/OS and Logic Pro DAW). As this audio interface is not usable for my non Pro Tools studio configuration, I am selling it.

Because it is not clear whether there is a problem with this audio interface, I am selling the MBox as-is at a greatly reduced price. Potential buyers should understand that this hardware is only supported by AVID when used with the Pro Tools Studio DAW for users with an active Pro Tools Studio license AND support contract. The purchaser of this unit should consider adding a Reverb/Mulberry protection plan.

Note: the equipment is in "like new" condition and packaged "as-new" with all paperwork and accessories. The free (trial) software including Pro Tools Studio Perpetual (with only one year of updates and support) that was offered with the unit has already been registered. I can potentially assist with transferring the perpetual Pro Tools Studio license to the new owner. This requires a transfer fee that would be paid by the purchaser. But to actively use the Pro Tools Studio software and receive hardware/software support, the purchaser must pay separately for an AVID annual support contract. This unit is recommended for an active Pro Tools Studio user with an active support contract.
