This is a custom built, one of a kind electric guitar built by a boutique guitar builder, Dandee Possum. I purchased this from a friend around 2017, whom commissioned this instrument from Dandee Possum based on his own design for a kind of "Frankenstein" guitar based on the specific parts he liked the most from Fender models. The shop's presence is fairly small, but can be found on Instagram.
While I did not commission this guitar originally and cannot confirm most specifics of the build, I have played it a lot over the years and have been very pleased with it. It was my main electric guitar for some time, used in live performances and recordings. It's always served me well, and is definitely a conversation starter!
The tone has the character and versatility of a Strat, the neck has the thick grip of a Tele, and the body has balance and comfort of an off-set Fender. Personally, I also find this to be a perfect blend of Fender aspect guitars as well. I've set it up and maintained it regularly over the years, and is very easy to adjust to anyone's preference. The finish is very intentionally "road worn," and has been very tastefully rendered.
