This is the Sonicware Mega Synthesis, a very cool instrument that emulates the sound of the Sega Genesis as well as classic video game FM Synth. Want to play some Ys music like the coolest guy, Yuzo Koshiro? You can! Streets of Rage? That too! Etrian Odyssey? Oh my gosh, yes, yes you can, just be sure to draw your map carefully and watch out for those FOEs. Actraiser??? No, unfortunately you can’t play that excellent soundtrack on this machine as it sounds in the original game.
I actually love this thing, I just don’t have the time that I want to invest into it right now and I need the money for a big move, so it could be yours for only $199.99 not including sales tax! *cue WOW sfx
The unit itself is in fantastic shape, very minor wear, and the Mega Synthesis itself plays great.
It includes the box and overlay as well. There is some minor damage to the box, perpetrated by the foul demon tabby Mister Kota, because he needs just a little taste of that delicious cardboard, but it’s pretty minor in this case.
