Epic Axes is a musician-driven showroom in Los Angeles. Each guitar is personally selected, inspected, and tested to ensure top performance - only instruments we would play ourselves become part of our collection.
The Fender Jaguar has always been one of the most unique guitars in Fender's lineup, and Crafted in Japan examples from this era are known for their excellent build quality, vintage-correct feel, and unmistakable character.
This 1999–2002 Fender Jaguar JG-66 is in good overall condition for its age. Rather than listing every scratch and finish chip individually, please refer to the photos - they tell the story far better than words. Cosmetically, this guitar wears its years with pride. It feels like a true road warrior that has been played, enjoyed, and cared for, with plenty of character but no nonsense.
Freshly professionally set up by our tech, it plays comfortably with low action, excellent intonation, and is ready for its next owner.
The original pickups and electronics are all intact, delivering exactly what you'd hope for from a great Jaguar: bright, articulate cleans with plenty of sparkle, and that loose, raw, unmistakably Jaguar growl when pushed into overdrive. If you're chasing the classic offset sound, this guitar absolutely delivers.
The frets are in very good condition with light, even wear and plenty of life remaining. Everything functions exactly as it should.
No case is included.
The following work has been done: full fretboard conditioning with lemon oil, fret polish, pickup height adjustment for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D’Addario 10-46s installed. String height at the 12th fret on the low E is right at 2.2 mm - set for comfortable playability.
