1981 Fender Telecaster Black & Gold limited edition, Rare model Black with Matching headstock. This was made in the Fullerton factory in the Dan Smith era, and was only produced in '81 & '82 - 500 total in the series. 18k gold plated bride, gold plated Fender F tuners, solid ash body, and a maple neck. Comes with modeled Fender hardcase. All original parts.
I purchased the guitar on Reverb.com in 2018.
In 2023, the guitar was serviced by an authorized Fender service technician in Slovenia:
- Cleaning of all electronics and polishing of the output jack
- Conditioning/protection of the maple fingerboard and polishing of oxidized frets
- Removal of protective masking and polishing of the fingerboard lacquer finish
NOTE by service technician: The neck exhibits a slight rise around the 5th fret area. As a result, it requires additional neck relief for optimal playability. Achieving a very low action would likely require a refret combined with fingerboard leveling.
