Aphex 207D dual microphone preamp with a few scratches. Both channels are in good working order. Great preamp made in Sun Valley, CA, USA. 2005-2008.
The Aphex 207D is a hybrid solid state/tube preamp with two non linked mono channels. Tube sound isn’t ’gooey’ as one might expect from tube gear but instead offers some great dimension and air while keeping sources clean. Includes one instrument DI input per channel and one insert point per channel. Features ‘MicLim’ which when turned on activates a limiter within the unit so your sources don’t clip. Additionally features its own A-D conversion. Line or mic sources.
Please note this unit has one minor non-cosmetic flaw which is the knob to switch between line/mic on channel 1 broke off. Line/mic can still be adjusted on channel one with something pointy.
