Up for sale is a 1979 Ibanez OD-855 Overdrive II, the v4 variant, identifiable by the block logo, flying fingers decals on both sides, and the power jack. This is the real deal: a genuine late-70s Japanese-made overdrive that predates the legendary TS-808 Tube Screamer.
The OD-855 is increasingly hard to find in working condition, and this one delivers. Plugged in and tested — all three controls (Distortion, Balance, Tone) function perfectly, the LED lights up, and it sounds absolutely fantastic. Warm, organic overdrive with enough range to go from a light boost all the way into fuzz territory.
Condition: Good. Shows typical cosmetic wear consistent with its age. Electronically the pots are a little scratchy when adjusting, but once you set your settings, there are no issues. Sounds amazing
