Custom Built Precision Bass - Warmoth Roasted Alder - Rosewood on Maple Neck - Tonerider Pickup

Finally a custom built bass almost anyone can afford!

This is a really nice bass! I'm really proud of this one. Definitely one of the best playing basses I've ever built!

The body of this bass is a Warmoth Roasted Alder body. I thought it a shame to cover up the beautiful chocolate grain in this piece of wood with paint or stain, so I decided to finish it in a high luster tung oil. I applied 7 hand rubbed coats. Gorgeous! This neck is special. Even though it has an 1.5 inch nut like a jazz bass, it has some girth to it so for those who like the chunkier P neck you'll love the feel of this one. It also is finished in a hand rubbed tung oil. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished.

For the rest only the best. I installed a Tonerider Alnico 5 pickup, a Fender HiMass bridge, a set of Leo Quan BadAss tuners, and a hand cut Micarta nut. For the electronics I built and installed a harness of Bourns 250K pots, an Orange Drop .047 cap with a Switchcraft input jack, Absolutely noiseless!!

Besides it's good looks and quality components, this bass is a real player. Low. low action, no fret buzz, and no dead spots I can find. And the sound is amazing!! I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with this bass.
