1990 MIJ Charvel 650XL Neck-Through – Original Electronics & Hardware

Up for sale is a 1990 Made-in-Japan Charvel 650XL featuring the sought-after "toothpaste" era logo and neck-through construction.

This guitar retains its original hardware and electronics, including:

• Original Schaller Floyd Rose tremolo and locking nut
• Original Jackson-branded HSS pickups
• Original Jackson-branded tuners
• Original active mid-boost circuit (controlled by the third knob and fully functional)

The pickups deliver the hot, punchy sound that defined this era of Charvel and Jackson guitars. The active mid-boost adds plenty of versatility, making this an excellent instrument for everything from classic hard rock to high-gain lead work. The guitar has tons of fret life remaining and is hum-canceling in all five selector positions, including the single-coil settings.

Condition is listed as Good due to normal cosmetic wear associated with a 36-year-old guitar that still wears its original finish. There are various dings, scratches, and signs of use throughout, all consistent with age and regular playing. There is also one area where the finish chipped at some point in its life and was touched up and cleared over (see final photo). None of the cosmetic wear affects playability, tuning stability, or functionality.

I've owned the guitar for the past two years and it has been a reliable player throughout.
