Here we have an absolutely beautiful Martin D-42 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar.  On the top of Martin's Standard Series.  Made in Nazareth PA, USA in 2023.  The D-42 is a work of art. Fully bound,  Beautiful inlays, and Abalone headstock logo and surrounds.  Constructed like any Martin Dreadnought is with solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, solid Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard, and a solid Spruce top.  Full gloss finish all around.  25.4" scale length with a 1.75" nut width.  Gold Waverly open geared tuning machines. This guitar comes with its original hard shell case, hang tag, and case key.
This D-42 has just been pro setup with 12-53's and is playing like a dream.   The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod is working perfectly.  The frets are in very good condition with some light play wear in the first position. (cowboy chords) They have tons of life in them.  This guitar plays cleanly up and down the fingerboard with no issues.  
Cosmetically, this D-42 is in very good to excellent condition.  There are a few small marks and indents in the finish both on the top and on the back.  There is a small indent on the top just above the bass side sound hole. There is another towards the bottom of the pickguard.  The back has some light scuffs but very minor.  The headstock face has some scuffs, most likely from restringing.  All of these are minor and you need to be up close to see them.   The guitar is in very clean shape.  It has been well cared for and maintained properly. 
All in all, this D-42 is a stunner.  Amazing quality and craftsmanship from Martin.  Ornate while not over the top.   Incredible and vibrant tone.  Classic tone woods and modern playability.  One strum and you will be in love.  Thanks for looking and happy buying!
