This is a Boss CE-3 Chorus guitar effects pedal, one of Boss’s classic analog chorus pedals made from 1982–1992.

A chorus pedal thickens your guitar sound by mixing your original signal with a slightly delayed, pitch-modulated copy. The result sounds like multiple guitars playing together.

Common sounds:

  • Clean shimmering tones
  • 1980s new-wave and rock sounds
  • Lush arpeggios
  • Rich stereo effects

Controls

  • Controls the speed of the chorus effect.

  • Right = faster wobble.

  • Right = deep and watery.
