The Lexicon MX400 is a 1-rack-space, 4-in/4-out quad-processor that combines legendary Lexicon reverb and effects with dbx dynamics. It is highly regarded for live sound setups and studios because it offers USB "Hardware Plug-In" capability for seamless DAW (VST/AU) integration.

- Routing: Features 7 effect routing options (such as dual mono, cascade, parallel, and mono split). It also supports 4-channel surround algorithms.
- Connectivity: 4 x 1/4" TRS balanced/unbalanced inputs/outputs, digital S/PDIF (in/out), MIDI (In/Thru), and USB. (Note: The MX400XL variant offers XLR connections instead of 1/4" jacks).
- Software Control: Integrates natively into DAWs. You can use the included MX-Edit Librarian software to store/recall 223 total settings (99 factory, 99 user).
