Summit Audio 2BA-221 Mic Preamp 
A spectacualr value in variable impedance tube mic preamp. Allowing for variable impedance control of microphone inputs allows this preamp to match perfectly with a wide variety of microphones ranging from condenser mics to ribbon mics and dynamic mics. And, not only does it allow for some tube saturation on the main output, but allows for a second clean output which bypasses the tubes. For all of these reasons, the 2BA-221 really is a good value, and probably the reason that EQ magazine just recognized it with their award for excellence.

With the TD-100 in your set up, you have an excellent sounding input stage for digital recording, adding personality and quality to the signal before the converters.
