For sale is a VERY RARE transitional period Marshall JCM800 2203, in completely MINT condition.

This is a particularly unusual and hard-to-find example, as it appears to be built to the classic late-80s JCM800 2203 specification, on 93’ the transitional period between the JCM 800 and 900´s without being a reissue, that came later on the 2000´s with fx loop and a few other modern features.

The amplifier was produced just when the production of the 800’s ended, so it is very likely that Marshall built this unit using remaining late-80s JCM800 parts and components, resulting in an amp that is visually and electronically exact to the 1980s 2203 heads. The only noticeable modern-era detail is the serial number sticker, consistent with Marshall’s early-90s production and serial number transition period.

Because of this, this appears to be a very rare transitional JCM800 2203 from the early 1990s, and a very difficult unit to find in this condition.

The amp is in completely mint condition and has just been fully serviced. It has brand new power amp tubes and brand new preamp tubes installed. It is working flawlessly, with no issues, unwanted noises, crackling or dropouts and NO OXIDATION ON THE CHASSIS, which is super rare to find on this kind of amps.

It sounds absolutely amazing: classic Marshall JCM800 2203 tone, powerful, aggressive, dynamic and extremely responsive. Everything works exactly as it should.
