This guitar is in very nice condition, plays superbly and sounds incredible! It does have some minor marks in the the super thin nitro finish as photographed. A nice “players grade” collectable limited edition and an extremely faithful reproduction of a ’54 Strat by one of the best Master Builders.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster, the Fender Custom Shop painstakingly crafted a Limited Release 1954 Stratocaster guitar. These exquisite instruments meticulously built at Fender’s prestigious “Dream Factory” in Corona, California, by their top Master Builders.

#5008 was built by Mark Kendrick.

Each guitar in these limited edition series comes with custom reproduction original 1954 pickups with Alnico III pole pieces, exclusively used on this model, all hand wound by Abigail Ybarra. An authentic “U”-shape maple neck, and the original finish and body contours of the iconic guitar from that era. This dedication to detail ensures that every instrument captures the essence and spirit of the classic 1954 Strato, making them highly sought-after collector’s items.

Remaining faithful to the authenticity of the original instruments includes several other remarkable features. For the first time since 1954; unique knobs, switch tip, pick guard, and pickup covers that have been meticulously retooled and manufactured, adhering to the precise formulas and materials used back then. As well as Original “Patent Pending” bridge saddles, these saddles feature a longer slot that the string goes through improving the position of the strings going through and allows the strings to not sit on the front edge of the bridge plate..

The guitar comes with a replacement “Poodle” brown case as well as a replacement Certificate of Authenticity.
