For sale is a sought-after 18" Paiste 2002 China Type cymbal from the legendary Black Label era (1972–1980) with serial. This Swiss-made classic is crafted from Paiste's iconic CuSn8 bronze (also known as "2002 Bronze"), the same alloy that defined the sound of rock throughout the 1970s.
CONDITION: Cymbal has been used by one owner since purchase. There are signs of use, but no damage, cracks, chips or anything that would effect the quality of this incredible cymbal. Please see pictures of every angle.
The Black Label 2002s are prized by collectors and players alike for their lively, musical character that many find warmer and more complex than modern red-label versions. This 18" China Typedelivers the definitive "classic rock" china sound: medium-bright, full, and exotic with a trashy, explosive attack that cuts through any mix without being harsh.
