Vestax MR-200 MKII – Vintage Personal Multitrack Recorder Made in Japan 90s in Very Good condition

This is one of Vestax’s compact personal multitrack cassette recorders—simple, reliable, and great-sounding for quick demos, sketching ideas, or capturing that raw lo-fi aesthetic everyone’s after today.

In the Mk II revision the VU meters have been replaced with LEDs indicator better suited for a portable mixer.

Built with solid Japanese engineering, the MR-200 MKII gives you everything you need to get creative without the distractions of a DAW.

Features

  • 4-track cassette multitrack recorder (MKII version)
  • Individual level and pan controls
  • Mic and line inputs
  • Overdub and bounce capabilities
  • Built-in monitoring section
  • Compact and lightweight—perfect for portable setups
  • Requires a center negative 12V DC - 15V DC power supply with the widely available 2.1mm barrel. (I was using 12VDC without any problem)

Condition

  • Partially functional (record, playback, transport, are non functioning)
  • Faders and pots have been cleaned
  • Clean I/O
  • Overall very good cosmetic condition for its age (see photos)

For someone wanting a project to fix the cassette transport. Or if you just want to use it for the mixer and nice sounding preamps and eqs
