The PRE-73 MKII is a one-channel vintage style microphone, line and instrument preamplifier.

The circuit used in the PRE-73 MKIII is similar to the preamp section in the classical 1073 module with a corresponding sound character that is warm, punchy, sweet and musical. These classic characteristics have been heard on countless recordings through the years and it is a versatile sound that works very well on most sound sources and in most genres.

The Unit

I've had this unit for many years now and whilst I've fully tested it and everything works well as expected its definitely on what I'd assume is the low range of very good due to age and blemishes and scratches which are clear in the photos. In person I believe it looks much better than the photos but if you're after a pristine unit this is certainly not it. It comes with the original power supply, box, basic instructions and packaging. Whilst the two units I'm selling are in no way matched, they were purchased together and have had much the same use.
