Dave Friedman built his reputation modifying and servicing amplifiers for some of the biggest names in rock, and the Pink Taco captures that experience in one of the most compact heads the company has ever produced. Often described as a "baby BE-100", the Pink Taco delivers the aggressive British-inspired tones Friedman is known for, but in a portable 20-watt package that is equally at home in the studio, rehearsal room, or on stage.

Built in September 2019, this is an original PT-20 model, featuring the highly regarded single-channel design that covers an impressive range of gain levels. With the gain backed off, the amp produces classic British crunch and articulate edge-of-breakup tones. Turn it up and the Pink Taco quickly moves into the thick, saturated overdrive that has made Friedman amplifiers a staple of modern rock players worldwide.

A major part of the amp's flexibility comes from the three-position gain structure switch located on the front panel. This allows the character of the preamp to be altered from lower gain vintage-style response through to the compressed, harmonically rich high-gain tones the model is famous for. Combined with the transparent series effects loop and responsive EL84 power section, the Pink Taco offers far more versatility than its compact size might suggest.

Hand-built in Los Angeles and housed in a tongue-and-groove Baltic Birch cabinet, the PT-20 delivers the feel, punch, and authority of a much larger amplifier while remaining easy to transport and simple to operate. For players chasing classic hot-rodded British tones without the size and volume of a traditional 100-watt head, the Pink Taco remains one of Friedman's most popular designs.
