Fender Stratocaster, 1959 (S/N 36677) — Fullerton-built and dating from
Fender's celebrated transitional period, featuring a body date of December 1958 and
neck date of March 1959. This Stratocaster retains its original three-pickup
configuration, with the middle and bridge pickups believed to have been rewound at
some point in the guitar's history.
The body has been refinished in black, while the neck retains an oversprayed finish
and exhibits substantial play wear consistent with decades of use. The instrument
presents as a well-played vintage Stratocaster with the unmistakable feel and
response that have made late-'50s examples among the most desirable of the
pre-CBS era. Accompanied by its original tweed hardshell case, this is an honest
player's-grade 1959 Stratocaster offering vintage Fender tone, exceptional
playability, and an accessible opportunity to own a genuine pre-CBS Stratocaster
from one of Fender's most coveted eras.
