Yanigasawa consistently makes some of the best soprano saxophones on the market. I bought this new in 2004. It had an overhaul 10 years ago and was last tuned up in 2025 by one of LA’s best repair techs. Horn plays quiet all the way down to low Bb.
The bronze alloy that this instrument is made out of imparts a really complex and warm tone. The response is very even throughout the range of the horn and since it’s a Yanagisawa it has great intonation.
It will ship in the stock case from the factory, no mouthpiece included.
There are some lacquer blemishes (see pictures) on the touch points which do not effect playability in any way. The current model Yani W02 is selling for $5-6k new, buy used here and enjoy substantial savings.
Price is firm, this is an outstanding instrument and I’m not in a rush to sell.
