The Fulltone Obsessive Compulsive Drive (OCD) Version 1 (often classified as V1.1) is a highly coveted boutique overdrive pedal released in 2005. Hand-built by Mike Fuller, it is famous for its amp-like touch sensitivity, transparent overdrive, and ability to deliver up to 30dB of pristine boost with rich, ringing harmonics.
Key Features & Specifications
Controls: Three standard knobs for Volume, Tone, and Drive.
HP/LP Switch: Toggles between High Peak (adds a slight mid-boost and increased gain/crunch) and Low Peak (transparent, flatter EQ for clean boosts).
Circuitry: Early V1 series pedals feature specific component choices (like the original OPAMP) that gave them a unique, dynamic bass and treble color compared to later, flatter revisions.
Power: Runs on standard 9V batteries or a standard 9V center-negative power supply (though the early versions lacked the reverse-polarity protection seen in later, modernized models).
