I purchased this guitar from the original owner. My luthier has expertly glued and cleated the two cracks on the top. The longer crack, closer to center has not broken through the clear coat. The pickguard crack has, but it is a smaller crack. I have owned very many 70’s era D-28’s,35’s & 18’s over the years. This is the best sounding/best playing 70’s Martin I’ve played. This instrument has not had a neck reset and the saddle is low. However, this guitar is super loud and the sustain is exceptional. It has been my experience that most people looking for a used Martin, want a guitar that looks new at a used price. Obviously this guitar has some dings and the two repaired cracks. But if you're looking for incredible tone, with a guitar that plays like butter- this is a hard one to beat. It plays effortlessly. Do not believe everything you read on line. Though the saddle is low (as is the action), this guitar has astounding tone / volume and resonance for days. Please read my feedbacks. It does me no good to overly hype a guitar. Electric bass' and old Martin and Gibson flat tops are my favorite instruments. You will be happy with this one.
