Rare find, a Dave Guardala New York Alto Saxophone in silver plate. This horn has been all over the world with me, and I have maintained it meticulously.
Last tuned up in 2025 by one of LA’s best repair techs. Pads are 8 years old, horn plays quiet all the way down to low Bb.
These horns were built by B&S out of Germany in the 90’s. This one is bright, powerful and the intonation is fantastic. I would not recommend this instrument for classical playing, the tone of the instrument won’t really fit there. It absolutely shines in Jazz / R&B / Commercial studio settings.
it comes with a Glen Cronkite gig bag for alto and soprano. Very light and convenient case. I will ship it double boxed, as this is not a hard case.
Price is firm, this is an outstanding instrument and I’m not in a rush to sell. However I can offer a discount, if buyer purchases this alto and the matched guardala tenor which I also have listed on reverb.
