Rare find, this Epiphone Chet Atkins Country Gentleman II was only produced for a few years, when Epiphone was transitioning from Japan to Korea (1989 through 1991). Based on the orange label, I suspect it was built in Korea, but the old serial number sticker is gone.

There is a chip on the nut, but does not affect playability. The case is rough, but still works fine. Output jack doesn’t love straight 1/4” jacks on the thigh!

Currently strung with 9 gauge strings and tuned up to F# standard tuning, it was professionally set up to the higher tuning less than a year ago.

I had plans for a Smiths cover band that didn’t materialize, and I rarely play guitar anymore, so it’s up for sale.
