Sunburst, we sold this guitar a while back to one of our customers who moved to Italy for work. He added a ceramic saddle and flatwound strings to get the authentic Beatles sound. It’s honestly one of the better sounding J-160E’s we’ve had. These were designed as stage guitars with an adjustable P-90 pickup and one volume and tone control that is easy to see and reach. They are also ladder braced to prevent feedback on stage. John Lennon used a 1964 model on “I Want to Hold your Hand” “Nowhere Man” and “Girl”. You know how this sounds.
This one has been professionally refretted and plays great with easy action. The finish has also been buffed to look newer. But it’s all original finish, electronics and Kluson tuners. It looks and feels great. And as we said before it sounds great too. Get your Beatles on learn “Nowhere Man”. Comes with a newer Gibson hard shell case. Consigned.
