This PRS DGT Prototype #1 is owned by David Grissom.
A Goldtop with stop tail, labeled McCarty II Prototype on the back of the headstock (#6 106333). This was built alongside Prototype #2 so David and Paul could compare the sonic differences between a stop tail and a tremolo configuration before finalizing the DGT design. They chose the trem, making this stop-tail prototype the road not taken. It's a genuinely historic instrument.
At 8lbs 3oz with small dings, dents, and scuffs throughout plus buckle rash on the back. Clearly it was actually played and evaluated, not just shelved. Signed by David Grissom on the back electronics plate. String gauge label reads 10.5. Tone knob is push/pull. Plays great right out of the case.
Comes with a black hardshell case.
