Selling my best RGA hardtail Ibanez Prestige RGA121H in Crushed Dark Ruby with the original prestige case and a ton of upgrades and extras.
- Gotoh magnum lock staggered locking tuners ($100)
- Duncan-equipped: Sentient & Nazgul set ($200)
- Custom wiring, see below ($100)
- Dimarzio guitar strap ($20)
- Extra set of pickups. Ibanez Infinity Pickups INF3 INF4 ($50)
The previous owner had the factory wiring professionally upgraded with a three-way blade switch and two push/push pots for series/parallel operation of each pickup. You can get eight usable humbucking tones out of this configuration and the push/push pots (versus push/pull) are super easy to actuate when playing. The parallel settings sound particularly nice with a clean or pushed gain amp tone -- a bit of output cut and mid-scoop for some more "Strat"-like flavor.
It does have a scratch on the back of the body. If you’re not looking for it, you’ll forget about it. I’d give this guitar a 9/10 regardless.
The finish is absolutely stunning especially under stage lights. The sparkles are just incredible. Only selling cause I’m moving and I need to thin out my collection.
I condition the board on a yearly basis to keep it hydrated and *clean* and gunk-free. It plays and sounds insane.
