Yamaha NS-777 Tower speakers. Fully verified and cosmetically updated by Upstate Vintage Speaker Lab.
The Restoration Includes:
*Verfied Specs on Crossover Caps with Peak Atlas ESR 70 Gold capacitance & ESR Meter: These are still a current model, approximately 6 years old.
80-Hour Lab Soak Test: Ensuring capacitors are fully settled before audition.
Cabinet Detailing:
- Applied a 4-step automotive buffing and polishing process to bring the factory piano black to a next-level, mirror-like finish (see images & video)
- Refinished outrigger support (feet) caps in automotive chrome paint and internal steel supports in satin black (see image)
- Tumbled and buffed gold plated HF/LF jumpers (see Image)
- Addressed other minor cosmetic flaws(see images)
*Note* There is a small dent in one of the tweeter diaphragm. The tweeter works and sounds good. It can be replaced with a genuine yamaha part for approximately 70.00
The Result:
This is the flagship model in the Yamaha EF Series Speakers. They are very LARGE speakers that look fantastic in the right environment. They sound incredible. You will not need a subwoofer...unless you're addicted to subwoofers.

The Audition:
I encourage you to test them in the Lab. I can demo them on my Adcom reference system with instant A/B switching so you can compare them to other restored pairs. If you prefer a real-world setting, I can also set them back up in my dedicated home theater for a listen.
*Video Note:
The Chess pieces are sitting on top of the only speakers that are playing in the video created for this ad. Everything is run direct with no subwoofer, no equalization or enhancements of any kind.
