This Conn Alto Sax is a blast from the past. Coming from the year 1970, the case features the blue fuzzy interior to keep your instrument safe along with a large compartment for accessories. You will notice the key guards are in a slightly different spot from a modern Conn and the engraving by the logo on the bell is interesting and intricate!

This sax has been cleaned, adjusted, and playtested and plays well. Some things to note are the cork on the neck has been replaced with rubber hose material (which provides an adequate, if not better seal that wears out slower). The lower stack is also in need of a minor adjustment as it will play but with some effort (notably any notes below G in the staff). Wear and tear can be found throughout in the form of scuffs and scratches from years of use, but the pads are in great condition and there are no serious dents or dings that would affect the playability or sound. The neck screw is also somewhat difficult to screw in and out, but it does keep the neck in place while you play!

This is a great sax for collectors, if even for the case, or for a student’s first saxophone at a cheap price on a budget.
