Altec 1568A Vintage Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier
This is a Vintage Altec 1568A Power Amplifier in very good working condition. It is mostly original with the EL34 output tubes replaced at some time. And also had a 1/4” phone jack installed above the terminal strip at some point. These were solidly built amplifiers that have stood the test of time. It is being sold as-is and would certainly benefit from capacitor updates etc. This amp was pulled from service at a church well over 30 years ago. It looks as though the Peerless power transformer has been replaced or temporarily removed for service at one time but the transformer is an original Peerless 6288, it does have the original 16432 Peerless Output Transformer. Note the solid 1Khz output measured into a 16 ohm load in the pic’s. Please ask any questions.
