This is a mouthpiece underpart which has been modified to take a Bach or Parke-threaded screw rim. The tolerances are loose enough for Parke rims to fit. It comes from Bach’s “Symphonic” series. The Bach 1-1/4C traditionally comes with the smaller 27 throat/10 backbore configuration. The 24/24 configuration helps with intonation in the upper register and gives the mouthpiece a more colorful tone.
