StewMac Sun Fuzz / PedalPCB Sandspur (Sun Face BC183 Clone)

Available is a clone of the Analog Man Sun Face BC183 made from the StewMac Sun Fuzz Kit in excellent condition.

The PCB itself was made by PedalPCB from their Sandspur board and licensed to StewMac for this kit.

The pedal was personally built by myself. Each component was tested for accuracy, and cleanly soldered using premium supplies.

Gloss white enclosure, Marshall-Style Silver Top Knobs, and a clear (white) LED were used to complete the kit.

The controls use the stock Analog Man Sun Face Layout, (Volume, Fuzz, and Bias)

Velcro on the bottom, but can be cleanly removed before shipping upon request.

The pedal sounds and works great! I replaced the original BC108 transistors that came with the kit with a pair of matched BC183s after auditioning a dozen or so transistors. These gave a nice balance of gain and ability to clean up the fuzz by using the guitar's volume knob. The transistors are socketed if you desire experimenting yourself.

The Sundial control was biased to give you the most range of bias voltage. Full CCW gives you optimal Fuzz Face bias, while turning CW starves Q2 and give you a more sputtery, gated fuzz sound, making it a very versatile fuzz pedal.
