1970s Ludwig Vistalite Pro Beat 6pc Shell Pack 13/14/16/18/24" w/ Matching 5x14" Snare Drum - Pattern (F) Black/White

In the shop on consignment: This is a 1970s Ludwig Vistalite Pro Beat 6 piece shell pack in a hard to find pattern (F) black/white finish. The sizes are 9x13, 10x14, 16x16, 16x18, 14x24, and a matching 5x14 10-lug snare drum. It's a nice player grade kit. All of the toms and snare have brand new silver dot heads. The bearing edges are all level and smooth. A few tension rods scattered around the kit are not original, but all of the wing nuts and tension rods thread as they should. The chrome has some mild tarnish and grime but not a lot of pitting. It would clean up very nicely. The shells on the 13", 14", 16", and snare are free of cracks (if you see a dark line running down the shell it's the reflection of the power line running to my shop). The 18" floor tom has a crack running vertically down the shell that was repaired at some point (before the current owner purchased it). All of the toms are missing the internal mufflers. The 13" tom has some snare rash. The snare is complete and the P85 strainer works as it should. 3 snare strands are missing on the wires.

The bass drum has the worst of it. The current owner sold the kit several months ago and shipped it to the buyer. Upon arrival the bass drum had been broken into 4 pieces (see last picture). It was shipped back and brought to our shop for repair. The bass drum was glued back together with Weld-on #16 and the repairs were wet sanded and polished (pictures available). It is structurally sound and the repairs aren't noticeable. There is also a crack at the tom mount (see picture). The allen screw on the tom mount isn't original but threads in. One of the bass drum hoops is not original and has a silver sparkle inlay instead of white.
