GUILD ASHBORY BASS, 1986 (very early first year production) - VINTAGE WHITE SPARKLE with Pickup Cover, original gig bag/case, 2 owners, virtually Mint condition

Rare Pearl White color, Second owner selling. Original owner was Luthier Mark Campellone. Currently owned by Bassist Mark Perrodin, and there is nary a "mark" on it!

Serial # is AJ-106 which is very early in 1986 first year production. Very Few of these were made.

DeArmond reissued the Ashbory in the late 90's before Fender bought out Guild and the DeArmond line. Fender re-introduced the Ashbory after their Guild/DeArmond acquisition and is still producing a re-styled version now. All subsequent re-issues of this guitar have been made in Asia.

This one is an original, made in the USA very limited production unit! It comes with its original Case/Bag and some vintage replacement strings.(because of the re-introduction of this guitar, replacement strings are readily available). It also has the original BRIDGE COVER, often discarded by the players. Hard to find one of these in this nearly pristine condition.

The bass is in fantastic condition....very clean with only very minor signs of having been played. As with all of these original Guild units, the rubber strings do tend to vary the output of the transducer. This one's Low E has a bit of flutter. A lighter gauge rubber E would probably even out the output. The guitar does have active electronics, and it will come with a New 9-Volt battery installed. Please look at all the pictures and marvel at its lovely condition!
