The Whirlwind DIRECTOR is a premium, rugged passive direct box (DI). It converts unbalanced instrument, line, or speaker-level audio signals into low-impedance, balanced microphone-level signals. This allows you to run long cables to a mixing board without hum, buzz, or signal loss.

- 30dB Pad Switch: Drops the input signal level so you can safely connect line-level sources or even speaker-level outputs.
- Ground Lift Switch: Disconnects the ground between the input and XLR output to eliminate unwanted hum or buzz caused by ground loops.
- Switchable High-Cut Filter: Reduces high-frequency amplifier noise.
- Parallel Thru Jack: Features \(\frac{1}{4}\)" parallel in/out jacks, letting you send your unaffected signal to your onstage amplifier while sending the balanced XLR to the main mixer.
